Barnevelder, Hen or Roo?

No, and it is a shame. I'm sure the bird was sold as a Barnevelder, so it is probably another case of a unscrupulous seller duping a customer. And that makes it tougher on all of us who sell birds because buyers are suspicious, and rightly so.
Tis why I only buy at poultry shows and sell there too. After a good judging from the poultry judge, and of course a bird placing best of breed and the such, there is no doubt it's pure bred. I never buy stock off Craigslist or Kijiji

Oh, if he is not pure bred I am not surprised.
I am trying to get some eggs from some better breeders now.
These chickens are 21 weeks old..
:)
Then it is most likely a pullet at that age. It should be laying or very near to it, too.

Edit- the more I look at that bird, the more I think it is a slow developing cockerel. Those curled tail feathers should be gone by now if it was a pullet. I'm still not 100%-- this bird is tough, but I lean cockerel. Let us know when it crows or lays an egg ;)
