Barnevelder Love!

The ones I did keep are mostly breeding projects, except the D’Uccle. He’s my lil baby bitty man 😍 The Polish are only staying until they earthed get picked on or start picking on others. We’re just a bit attached to the hilarity factor lol. My bantam Cochin loves me too much!

My Barnies are 12 weeks old now and developing their adult feathers quickly! They are super sweet, curious, and smart. I used to give them dog puzzles with hidden scrambled egg treats when they were in the brooder, they got pretty good at solving those quickly! I was initially planning to keep multiple breeds, but now I'm thinking just focus on a good heritage line of Silver Double Laced Barnies :)

There are two pullets (out of the five) that have crisp clean lacing AND no red leakage. We'll have to wait and see how the cockerels develop, before making a decision there. I'm already looking at breeding coop designs and considerations for them though lol.
