Definitely a pullet. As stated above male Barnevelders feather out differently as they do not have the laced plumage the females sport.

I am not concerned about perfect lacing, I got her for the eggs and the personality. I’m so thrilled to hear everyone thinks pullet. You’ve given me hope! Thank you!They aren't going to lace out on their backs although you may occasionally see some but I believe it is a fault.

Ok, I really appreciate all your knowledge. It’s definitely showing some “ rooster traits” as well as still getting in saddle feathers on its back while my pullets are fully feathered on their backs now.I meant that roosters wouldn't, so the lacing was an indication that the bird in question was indeed a pullet.![]()
