Barnevelders or dark cornish? also, what gender are they (11 wks old)

Barnevelders will have a single comb...A cornish comb will be really flat at this age. Looks like a pullet and a cockerel...but check on the neck and in front of the tail for pointed feathers indicating you have a cockerel...plus they will usually have a dark metallic green stipe through the center, pullets have nice rounded ends on their neck and saddle or cushion in the female feathers in front of the tail. and the unique double lacing of the female..I don`t think they have enough bone to be cornish and they look to have single combs.....hope this helps...Jane/ Cedaridge Farm

they are definatly barnevelders. I have dark cornish and they don't look like that. I know my breeds. Hatchery cornish have tall legs buy have better lacing then that. SHow quality cornish you would know right away.

Thanks for your help. The majority of answers I've received on this post think that both are pullets. Which one are you thinking might be a cockerel and why? Also, I haven't noticed a difference in their feathering yet - what age do the pointed saddle & neck feathers come in?
