Barred Crested Easter Eggers

Sorry, it's been a week and I've forgotten who I directed it too. I know blue x white = blue, but I thought someone posted green x white was going to equal blue? Thanks for the reply though!

green eggs happen when there is also brown egg genes. I doubt you would bet green eggs fromeither ofbthere BUT you can't know what the roos are carrying.

I love my grey and white barred chicks. One has a prominent crest growing out!!! I can't wait to see them grow out and lay eggs. DMRippy or Flowerbh, any new pics of yours?

is it gray? I have only hatched a couple of blues from that pen.....I kept them too hehe.

no I don't have any pics. I can't post pics from my phone. I am HOPING to have internet in a month or two and could post some then.

feel free to post pics of yours! that little crest is too cute!

You're correct, they are blue. I have two of them. I'll try to get some pics up in the next few days. I also have one of your white with flecks of black crossed leghorns growing out also. I'm hoping to get some eggs from it in the next two months!!!!

I have not been breeding these long enough for someone to have one from mine. I have some growing out and will post some when they start laying....I think they are about 2.5 months.

Here are my two chicks with the Crested Cream Legbar dad. I think the pullet had the Exchequer Leghorn as a mom. Roo Guy has now developed some color in his wings. They both have small crests. They are 11 weeks old now. I have another pullet, the one with the Lavender Ameraucana Roo over the White Leghorn. She is pale pale pale lavender....almost looks like a dirty white. She has some black spots here and there. I will try to get a photo of her. She is starting to get little muffs. They are really sweet birds.

thanks for the pics! the one you are calling lavender is really just a dingy white. they can't express lavender with just one copy. sorry.

The eggs you sent me hatched. Out of the seven eggs, one didn't develop, one died at the two week mark, and one disappeared around day eighteen. (?) The other four hatched fine and I had 3 white chicks with black spots and one grey barred chick. A very good hatch for shipped eggs. Unfortunately one of the white chicks got out of the pen, away from their foster hen and was killed by my rooster. The remainder of the chicks are doing fine, and the rooster has gone.
I was trying to get a picture but momma hen isn't letting anyone near them now. All I get are pictures of a puffed up hen without even a sign of the chicks hiding under her.
I can't wait till they are grown up to see what I have.
I'll post pictures as soon as I can get them.
