We it is not that simple. You need to have a solid color hen with a BR roo. The EE hen will give off any colors that the mother has and it will go into the chick she has. You need to have a BR roo over a Blue or Black Ameraucana hen.

You wouldn't have any Ameraucana/Barred Rock eggs available, would you?

Im afraid that this Del/ameraucana cross will be very "Delaware-ish", probably too much so in looks for my taste. I love Delawares, but don't want one that looks like an "almost-Delaware". I had about 9 of those eggs slated for my bator, but I am selling them in an egg asst I have listed in BSA, all except for maybe 3. Decided I didn't have room, really, for anymore white chickens.

I have a ton of these babies. Some have beards, some not. Some have pea combs and some have straight combs. They are feathering out to be gorgeous birds. They are about 6 weeks now. I can't wait to raise them up. Mine came from a BR roo over Blue Ameraucana hen. I think a couple of them came from my BR roo over brown EE's, but the brown EE's had blue mama hens, if any of that makes sense. Really pretty chicks.

Let's get this thread back to the top! I just had 10 BRxEE chicks hatch on Monday and I am very interested in this thread! I have 6 chicks with a white spot on their heads and 4 without. What could this mean for their coloring? Here is a picture of the peeps and a picture of my BR hen and EE roo.
