just to keep babbling: the pied duck is wild type, which are known for having more white. Not really a problem, as it can be bred out. I'd be more worried about it if he were atipico pied.
Oh dear what does Atipico mean?!

Easy. Atipico means it didn't have an eye stripe (cleopatra eyeliner) and four dots on it's back. The opposite of atipico is wild type. Wild type is eye stripe and four dots.Oh dear what does Atipico mean?!

Hi Miss Lydia. Thejperez gave me valuable information, she started a FB page for locals. The problem is I can't have a FB page for locals. In Miami muscovies are mistreated by crazy people. I should start one for the rest of Fl. except Miami. I told her I'd like to go to her FB page so that I have an idea how to start one. I may have some luck that route. Do you know anyone that may be interested in adopting a rescue where you live? I don't kow where to put him anymore, he's growing so fast. I have him inside the bathroom that's not in use. That's only temporary, off course. I was thinking of buying a dog crate or a baby corral, something larger. I need ideas. He barely fits where I have him now. It's a 45 gallon plastic Rubbermaid tote. I still have the heating pad on one side on top of the box. I cover that side with an open box and towels on top. It's cozy and he seems to like it. I don't like it because it's to small. I have to keep him inside until I find someone. I use puppy pads. He's lifting the corners and eats bits of pieces now. I definitely need something large. This duck is too smart. How about pine shavings, will he eat them too?. Yesterday I noticed his leg (where it bends) a round red spot, maybe a sore from sitting. Like a bed sore in adults. I read somewhere that you recommend Vetericyn for poultry. If Miss Lydia likes it, must be safe. Natural with no antibiotics. I bought it and soak the gauze and apply it gently 3 times a day. Poor little guy it must hurt. I also think he needs like an arthritis foam or pad like people use on dogs to relieve pressure for animals with arthritis. I don't want him to get sores. What can I use to keep him indoors intil someone adopts him? Ty in advace. I so new at this, just trying my best.Hi @B&B duck lady did you talk with @Thejperez about face book?
