Barred Plymouth Rock - pullet or cockerel?

so what was the outcome? Hen or roo? I have a 2.5 week baby that hubby thinks is cockerel but I think is pullet. Barring is pretty defined but dark color as opposed to the lighter gray of the roosters and just beginning to see signs of a comb.

She was a pullet and became our alpha hen. Unfortunately, she became ill at about 1 year old and we had to end her life after trying everything to save her including tube feeding. She was a good hen. Kept her eye on everything and everyone and kept peace in the flock. We added another batch of chicks this spring and are still enjoying chicken keeping.

Do you remember if she had a defined white spot on her head when you first got her? Barred Rock chicks are typically born with a white spot on the top of their heads; I've heard that they can be sexed pretty accurately by whether the spot is defined or kind of blends into the rest of their head. Hope this helps!

So is the blended white spot a poulet or a cockeral?
