I have a 4-5 day old Barred Rock chick who is laying around (while the 5 others are active, and eating and drinking). Her breathing seems labored -- whole body moves. She occasionally moves from one place to another, but it looks like she is having trouble with movement on one side. I think she stayed in one place all night. I have not seen her eat or drink. I have brought her to the feeder and waterer, but she doesn't seem to take anything. They are in a very large cardboard box with pine shavings and the others seem happy with the temperature. They have medicated chick started and water with chick electrolytes. I ordered them through the farm store, who got them from a hatchery.
