Barred Rock BSL mixup

We purchased a few chicks in Mar, 3 days old. This chick was supposed to be a BSL, as I wanted pullets, so went with sex link.
My question, would this be a pure BR cockerel or what?
It came from the BSL bin. I know mistakes happen.
I'm guessing cockerel but he doesn't have much white. The legs have a grey wash. 14 weeks old.

Pretty sure male BSL are barred and do resemble their BR parent so I still think he’s a BSL. And yes, definitely a cockerel.

That is what I want to know. I say he's a cockerel but is he a pure BR. I wasn't sure if a cockerel, from a BR hen and solid roo, could produce him. I'm questioning as there is not, to my inexperienced eyes, the double white barring on him.

I need to decide if I want to keep him for a time and watch. If he does not have more white, he is not a pure BR and will have to be re-homed/dinner.

Thank you for confirming a mating to produce a BSL, can result in a cockerel that "appears" to be a BR. One never knows if chicks get mixed up in the bins of feed stores...or even hatcheries.

He appears to be single barred, which means he is a BSL and not a barred rock. He also has some pure black in his tail feathers.

Thank you. That is what I thought, though still in infancy of learning genetics. I was sort of hoping/watching for the dbl bar, for him to be a pure BR in the wrong bin.

I don't know anyone who wants a mix breed cockerel and we have 2-3 other young ones that we do not want in the flock. I will see if someone wants them for their flock, if not future dinner. Golly, I'm not partial to culling but have done and will do again in my life.
