Barred Rock Cochin Bantams? Roo's or Hens?

UPDATE

One of the barred cochin chicks crowed this morning. Dang! Since the three of them are pretty much identical, it looks like I have 7 bantam cockerels and 2 pullets.

What in the world am I suppose to do with THIS many boys?!

I would put them in a bachelor pad and get more hens

Then, when you have enough hens, you can separate into 2 or more flocks and reintroduce your roos.... or let them sort it out themselves.

But, honestly I would try to rehome all but the 2 or 3 that you absolutely love and get more hens

I am planning a bachelor pad, I just hope they get along! :| I will try and find homes for a few, but I'm not sure which ones to get rid of and HOW to go about finding homes!

I'm thinking about ordering some bantams from Ideal Poultry, but I'm a little hesitant because of what the age differences will be (current bantams are 11 wks old right now). I want more girls and you can only order straight run, so if I do order any bantams I'm thinking about getting 3 chicks per breed and I will get 3 or 4 different breeds.

No one ever told me how addicting it can be to raise chickens!

I ordered 15 bantams from Ideal this morning, they will be here next week!

I was told that with every batch of chicks hatched, the percentage of roos is higher than hens. That bites!

I better figure out what to do for the Roo Condo (coop)! When will their testosterone kick in?

I have new pics of my Barred Cochin's. They are 12 weeks old in these photos. I'm starting to think that I have one cockerel and two pullets, or the other way around. What do you all think? Is it possible for Cochin pullets and cockerels to look so similar at this age? I've only seen one crow so far.

It is tough to get pics of them because as soon as I crouch down a couple of them come over to see what is in my hand!

Thanks for any input!!!

I don't have much experience with chickens, but I can't imagine a pullet having comb and wattles that big and with that much color at 12wks. All roos IMO.
