Barred rock "Dad" and EE "mom" make ????

Riley is eggsactly what I am hoping one of ours turns out like, did she have any markings as a chick that showed she would be barred?
We will be getting rid of some at a few days old and are not looking forward to making the decision on who to keep.

Yes, Riley was barred as soon as her wing feathers showed up. Her sister had much less barring, no beard or muffs, and was a darker blue. She was sold just after the following picture was taken. She had white legs and Riley and their brother have yellow. One of our members, sportsterchick (Susan) fell in love with her and I hope one of these days she'll post an updated pic of this cutie.

I hatched some of Cynthia's chicks and my barred EE's looked like this when they were a day old.

Barred EE's had white dots on their head.

Here is another picture when they were 3 or 4 weeks old

I will tell you I have hatched a lot of chicks and these are the BEST EVER!!!!! Super friendly and beautiful.

This is our Barred EE (unsure of sex). Came from Bucky my BR cross roo and Midnight my Black Ameraucana.

This is Maggie my EE hen that came from Bucky and Doodle my EE hen.

Her colors are hard to see in this pic but she has some blue and black barring on her wings. Doodle has a Partridge coloring in a way so what ever your EE hen looks like will effect the color of their offspring.
