How can I tell which egg is from my barred rock and which is from my buff orpington? If possible..

Typically BR eggs are darker than BO eggs.

What does that mean? Sorry, new to this we bought them from our feed store last July

We do get the speckles on some too

we bought them from our feed store last July

If they came from a feed store then they came from a hatchery. Birds that come from hatcheries are not bad birds and are usually good egg layers. But they some times lose important traits like size,egg color and meat production capability and motherly instinct.
