Barred Rock Gender?

Hi, Excited to join this site,

I bought this from local feed store, according the previous posts on Barred Rock, looks like a girl to me, what do you think?







Also this one, but not sure which breed and sex? any idea.

hmm the feed store has Buch of these they said Barred Rock!

Barred Rocks and Dominiques are very similar, so you won't be disappointed if the black-and-white feather combo is what you are after.
It is hard to tell the sex at this age, though... sorry!!

well i can be wrong its just the comb looks like it is going to be a rose comb

It's a Dominique pullet. Sexing barred breeds is easy since they can be sexed at hatch.

Feed stores get the labels from the hatcheries, who mislabel stuff all the time.


The second one looks a little like a Dark Brahma-looks like a pea comb and feathered legs and the color looks like the Dark Brahma pattern to me.

Dominique pullet and dark brahma, I could easily be wrong but it just looks like a little roo.
