Barred Rock has weird looking toe....

Hi All...one of my BR has a right side toe that actually points toward the outside about half way down the toe making almost a 90 degree angle in the toe....she doesn't seem to have any problems with it and is actually one of the more advanced chicks...I am 95% sure that this is not injury and seems genetic.....just looking for some feedback from some of my more experience comrads on this...thanks all

I had a BR rooster that had crooked toes, but not that crooked. I was told it's caused by poor temps during incubation. Below is a picture of his toes. He was not able to roost.

If the chick is young enough, you can tape the feet to straighten out the toes. (less than a week old) Just take the sticky parts of a bandaid and put on the bottom of the foot. Put the toes how they should be and cover with the band aid on the other side.
