I just got these two barred rocks that I was told would be hens. They are about 10-12 weeks old. The lady who bred them, sexed them by dangling a needle and thread over their heads to see which way it would swing. How can I tell if they are male or female. Will I know more in a few weeks. They also each have 1 red feather on their left side. Is that normal? They aren't crowing or anything. They are the most aggressive ones in the flock.

issue with my white plymouth rock, not sure if she is a he? We ended up getting a bantam cochin rooster but after I brought him home, my rock attacked him. They are tolerating one another as of now going on day 3, and there hasn't been any more fights but I have no clue if bernice, is actually bernie, they will be 12 weeks Nov 1st.
