I got 2 Barred Rock chicks back in March, to help raise some ducks. I was wondering when should I be able to start telling if one is a rooster?

Also when should they start laying?

Gender will be apparent now, post some photos and we can help you sort that out easily. BPR are pretty easy to sex by about 3 weeks
Production will likely be around 20-24 weeks +/- 2

Cockerels will be much lighter in appearance than pullets. They should be very easy to determine sex at this age. If they are hatchery type Barred Rocks they'll typically start laying around 4.5 to 5.5 months of age.
