barred rock or cuckoo maran?

Help!! Are these chickens Cuckoo Marans or Barred Rocks they have white legs so i think they are marans but i am not for sure!! The rooster has a slight yellow tint..

they look like barred rock to me. to me cm's look brown with spots vs the zebra strips

Barred rocks have yellowish legs and cm's have white legs.

Barred rocks have a distinct striped pattern and cm's have a less distinct pattern, it is murky and darker, almost like white spots on a black background. My CM hens are almost black looking. Yours seem lighter and with a more distinct stripe than mine.

But, cm roos can have pretty distinct barring. Mine does. He has some yellow tint. I think it is from his diet.

Eyes on a cm are red/orange. I think barred rocks have brown eyes.

I would say BR for these just b/c they have a lighter barred pattern than any CM's I have seen.

Someone bred Barred Rocks with Cuckoo Marans. The white leg gene is dominant, so they inherited that.

If the father was a BR, all the offspring will be barred. I have 3 mixed chicks I hatched last week where the father was BR. The mother was a different breed, all my chicks are barred and will have the color of their father, but the body of their mother. Sussex have white legs too.
