I have 4 5 week Barred Rocks. They are named Janis Joplin, Joan Jett, Annie Lennox, and Aero (Aerosmith). Aero had an arrow marking on her head. I think they are all pullets...

My daughter and I call them our rockstars. We also have 5 12 week old Asian Blacks that are our soul sisters (Aretha Franklin, Dianna Ross, Gladys Knight, Whitney Houston, and Janet Jackson). They are all very chatty, bossy, and sweet.

Thank you! At first we had random names, but switched to themes. Sometimes a name will change as a personality emerges. We also have 4 5 week old buff orpingtons (3 pullets and a cockerel) our boy is Barney Stinson, and the girls were the Brady Sisters, but Jan got changed to Amy because it was too close to Janis, Joan, and Janet...

With my first flock, all my girls were named after our friends. Some friends loved having a chicken named for them, others not so much
