Barred rock rooster or hen?

I just got this barred rock from my friends farm. Someone gave the chicken to her because they thought it was a rooster. she has had ti for some time now and she thinks it is a hen. I can't tell. SO can you?

depends on age...its over all coloring and curvature of the tail say cockerel on the other hand i don't see any saddle feathers and the hackles appear to be a pullets but then again it all depends on its age...you could part the feathers at the base of the tail and see if there are any saddles coming in

saddle feathers are pointy right? I don't see any pointy feathers on it. all of them are flat-ish rounded on the tips

it really looks like a cockerel but it should have saddles coming in.

hes about 7 months in this pic i think

here is domino when his saddles were just coming in at about 3.5 months and they are hard to see

OK I am going to go grope on the poor chicken again and inspect some more. I am going to take close up pictures of feather.
