Look at that little Rooster' mottled markings and the shape of his eyes......... The yellow feet give him away as to what breed but does he have a Cuckoo Maran in the woodpile aways back?
Handsome guy. We will definitely have to find a good home. He is the smallest of the bunch and is controlling the 5 girls. They don't take too much but he doesn't back down either. Eventually grabbing a wing. Super nice to us so far. Does not mind being held either... so far...
I think the one you are seeing in the wood section is an Easter Egger and then a couple New Hampshire Red in the pictures. There is a Silver laced wyandotte as well. The BSL is not pictured.
When I said "in the woodpile aways back" I meant in his family genes. The BPR Rooster has long oval shaped eyes and a real mottled barring like no barring. Those are two features that the Cuckoo Maran Rooster has. The yellow feet on your little rooster depict that he is a BPR but I was wondering if he might have had a French Uncle back in the day.
