Barred rock rooster??

I have two barred rock chicks about 2 weeks... One has had the tail feathers come on and the other seems to be just sprouting them... Also, it seems to be more dramatically stripped... I know it's early but any thoughts?

By the way, I bought both at a feed store both were supposed to be pullets

Check the spots on the head. Most females have a spot where males are messier. The pullets are also supposed to have dark splashes over there legs - roo's are supposed to be paler. Females are also supposed to develop feathers faster as well. Best of luck

The spot is totally changing as the time goes on.... When I first picked them they both had a pretty clear spot and dark splashed legs... Now the ones spot looks messy and its not developing feathers like the other.... Giving me anxiety... :/

I understand - There is lots of info on them in the learning center & breed tabs- plus there is a chat thread for barred rocks as well. Don't stress too much. Just read up on them , watch them grow & pray no ones crows

Well.... That's what I was thinkin... Guess they will make us a good meal instead of eggs.
