Barred rock/ SLW

I am thinking of hatching some eggs from my two barred rock hens and my SLW roo.
I love the black and white combo of both these breeds.
Has anyone else done this and were you happy with the results??

I think (but I don't know for sure) that the barring will trump the lacing of your SLW. I believe you'll get sex-links, male babies will feather out with some sort of barring and females will be black, maybe with some lacing since they do not get any of the barring from the mother.
