I am mating this rooster with my Production Reds to get Black Sex Links. I borrowed this rooster from someone nearby to do this. He wasn't sure what it was. I am pretty sure this is a Barred Rock, but just want to make sure.

No, you will not get black sex links. Black sex links are bred using barred female and non-barred male. You will just get mutts with this combination, and you will NOT be able to differentiate sex at birth. Give him back NOW and refrigerate/eat any eggs your hens lay for the next several weeks.
