Barred Rock?

Is this rooster a Barred Rock?
Any comments appreciated!

No its not a barred rock. I you ordered it as a rock though is a black rock. If not it could also be a jersey giant he is big or if he is smaller that an Australorp.

He was bought with the rooster in this pic in early spring from a feed store from the same bunch of Barred Rock chicks.
He just always looked different.
He is so big....so is this one.

Could be a Black Australorp or Black Jersey Giant. To tell which one, check the bottoms of his feet. If they're white, he's an Australorp. If they're yellow, he's a Jersey Giant.

White bottoms of feet could also indicate a Black Orpington, however. I think that Australorp is most likely, though, as it is most common.

Just checked feet and they are white on bottom.
Are Australorps that big?
Not familiar with that breed.
