My Big Barred Rock roo is much darker than all of these guys, so the lighter for roos rule is just not working here.

Thoughts?

#1 is a definite rooster. #2 & #3 I think are hens but it would help to know age, and also to see photos from more of a profile, as I can't make out the hackle feathers in these photos. Also, I can see a couple of feathers in each of the tails that appear to curve a little but from this angle I can't see the whole tail. If the tail looks like a fantail, then hen. But if there are pointy saddle feathers in front of the tail and the tails feathers curve back a lot, then rooster.

1 - Rooster

2 - Hen
3 - Need profile pic but I'd say it's a hen -

Are they all the same age?

i agree number 3 is clealy a roo because of the hackle feathers! look at them nice and pointy! number two looks like a roo but a better picture of it would be great!
