I would say get two buff orp roosters and barred rock hens!

I have both barred rocks and buff orpingtons. The barred rocks will hop on my lap and just sit there...BOs don't do that...both BRs and BOs are four and a half years old. They don't lay much anymore but tolerated our 100+ days all summer. They both tolerate the winters here in South Texas, too.

Oh, I found it! There was an old post about them. Those hens are so beautiful! Maybe I should get BR rooster, BR hens, BO hens, and BA hens! Now I've gotten myself all exited!
