Barred rocks

When I purchased these 2 from the local co-op they told me that they were both pullets. Both are almost 4 months old. There is a huge difference obviously. What do you think as far as what I have here?

Both are pullets. The one with the larger, redder comb is simply closer to laying than the other

There would likely be crowing by now if it was a Cockerel. My four month old PBR looks just like yours. Large red wattles and comb. I know she will be laying soon!

I'm glad you pros know your stuff! I was worried because it seems like everytime I think I have a hen it ends up a rooster!

I agree, both pullets. Cockerels will look a lot different by now!
