She's my only Barred Rock!!! My brother had one, but she was killed by a raccoon.

No, she has never gone broody. I want a broody so bad though.
She is over a year old now. Her b-day is October 13.

My Barred Rocks were born August 13 2012! And they started laying at only 18 weeks!! It was awesome!!

Lucky you!!! I was told that the Heritage BR's take longer to develop so being just shy of 6 months I am pretty pleased that they started this early.

Hello everyone!!! I guess i will join in with you guys here from NC. I just got my first two barred rock girls yesterday and they are 9 weeks old!!! They are my favorite already. I have 11 other hens ( a mixture ) and my barred rocks are by far the friendliest of them all. Just this morning i went to the coop to check on them and when I opened it up my Barbara flew right onto my shoulder ans was sitting there the whole time I was filling feed and water. So exciting. I am 99% sure that I will be adding more of these girls and possibly a boy to my flock
