Barred Rocks!!

But even so if I were to try & sell him, I would just call him a roo & name a price, $10 what I paid for him:/ that's not getting back my time & gas money:(

Thank you mr Joshua, I truly may just put him in the pot:( maybe a soup? I want one a couple months old but I may just get some from that Murray mcmurray hatchery if I cannot find me a roo & a hen that will sit on a nest without having to incubate eggs:/ or maybe someone has some on here!:)

How well do Barred Rock eggs hatch? Do they ship well? I have a choice between eggs or chicks. What is the better option? I realize that answers will be based probably on preference but if you were in my shoes?

I have no idea, I'm also looking for some that are good mommies & will hatch their own eggs, because incubators are way expensive & why go that route when the hen can do all the work, to me it is the natural way of things.. Not knocking them incubators they are awesome but I just prefer the natural way:)
That & apparently I am going to do nothing here but get ripped off by being sold I don't know what, that was supposed to be a barred rock:/

Oh & I would go with chicks, because they're are that much closer to your goals of them making it to adulthood. Also you can pretty much know what sex you have by ordering which you want:) I have spoken to people who say eggs get tossed around & become no good for incubation or only 1 or 2 out of however many..

Barred rock roo??? Someone please help, because I don't think he is:( he & his lady is in quarantine until we make sure they are healthy to introduce to my little flock:)
He has the exact same plumage as my Easter Egger rooster. Can you get a picture of his face and comb?

Thanks for your response. I do have an incubator and I got a batch of free barn yard eggs from a friend. It is to be seen how they will fare in the incubator but they were not shipped through the mail. Indeed I also heard shipping does not do the eggs any good. So far I can not order all pullet heritage barred rock chicks, only straight run. I will need several roosters any ways.
