Barred Rocks!!

I'm rejoining the club! I lost my first BR, Lydia, to Marek's a few months ago. Today, I found this little lady in the feed store brooder all alone, so I scooped her up and brought her home to a brooder filled with brothers and sisters. She's super friendly!!!

She's so lucky you found her! I love my BR girls. They're personalities are completely different from one another, with one being super melow and "everybody's best friend" and the other one being the queen of the coop, assertive and yet friendly. Unfortunately I can't say the same about my BR cockerel. He turned aggressive towards me several weeks ago and everything I've tried to "tame" him has failed, so he'll be....invited to dinner...in the very near future.

My white rock is queen of the coop!!! She's been a kind leader up to now, but two days ago I witnessed her humping my Legbar :/. Dominance is starting!

We started with 5, sadly 1 didn't make it the first night with us. I don't expect that gals to queen of the shows. Mellie is our 6yo's but I am fond of her. She's the last in her feathers coming in and looks like she's got a permanent bedhead thing going on.

1 of the 4, who I can't remember what the kids named...

Mellie

And here's Omelette, she has made herself the queen b of the flock. And ti's pretty cute to watch.

LOL! When my BR, Luna, was just two days old she jumped atop the feeder and let out a squawk that sent the rest of the flock, including the much larger 2 week old Australorps, running to the other end of the brooder. They crammed themselves against the wall and didn't move back to the feeder until she had finished eating her fill and moved off. That was the day I knew for certain that she would rule the roost.

I need your opinions, please :) My little pullet is now 6 weeks old and I'm noticing pink in her comb and little wattles coming in. She's an "only", so I have nothing to compare to. Should I be worried?

I've been interested in barred rocks because I'm getting my first flock of 4 soon. It's gonna be a mixed flock with a black Australorp, light brahma, and buff orpington, but I hear barred rocks can be bossy... Is this true? I can't decide on the forth breed
