Thanks, everyone for you help so far.
I have the opportunity to borrow a Dominique hen fom a friend. This is not exactly what I was planning, but it's a start. From what I've read so far, it looks like I need to start with a male dominique. The real project will have to wait for chicks to grow up.
So -- if I put a black breasted red male over a dominique hen, the resulting chicks should be sex-links with the boys being barred & the girls black? Crele would've been more interesting, but that's ok. When I have a male dominique, we'll put him over an incomplete pattered silver columbian hen. That should give me all barred?
