Is it ok to give the girls basil??? I think thats what it is? It was in a tomato mozzeralla dish, I'm pretty sure its basil. Will they eat it & if so, will it make funny tasting eggs???

I've been reading up on plants/herbs that chickens like, and basil came up a lot! I'm GUESSING that it's okay, but you're probably going to want more opinions from more experienced people. [IMG]

Basil is fine and you probably won't taste it in the eggs. [IMG]

I use to have basil growning in the garden, and I can't remember ever seeing the girls eat it. So I'm not sure how much they would like it - but I don't think that it would hurt them.

Our girls LOVE mozarella balls soaked in olive oil with basil and oregano.. They've become lap dogs over those things - and no off taste in the eggs at all. I think chickens like anything with cheese in it [IMG]
