Basil?

Is it ok to give the girls basil??? I think thats what it is? It was in a tomato mozzeralla dish, I'm pretty sure its basil. Will they eat it & if so, will it make funny tasting eggs???

I've been reading up on plants/herbs that chickens like, and basil came up a lot! I'm GUESSING that it's okay, but you're probably going to want more opinions from more experienced people.

Basil is fine and you probably won't taste it in the eggs.

I use to have basil growning in the garden, and I can't remember ever seeing the girls eat it. So I'm not sure how much they would like it - but I don't think that it would hurt them.

Mine will have to fight me for the basil...man that's good stuff. It certainly won't hurt them.

Our girls LOVE mozarella balls soaked in olive oil with basil and oregano.. They've become lap dogs over those things - and no off taste in the eggs at all. I think chickens like anything with cheese in it
