It was great to meet you briefly

I can't remember the name of the young man that took Junior Champion, but that Pekin Duck of his was beautiful and this was this Junior's very first show. Bobby (Salmon Faverolle) did place he got Reserve Show Champion. I was shocked, Sarah was happy, Bobby is her main man, they pretty much go to all the shows, win or lose doesn't matter, he's also her showmenship & 4-H demo buddy, he's a great bird, will let anyone handle him.

I think I'm a little more rested. Didn't realize how exhausted I was until I got home and couldn't stay awake.

What a great day!!! Love just getting out and being with other crazy poultry people

It was great meeting everyone we could.

I noticed it, too - a bit of well organized chaos in the air.

A portion of the meanderers were folks off the street, who were just driving by and saw the "Poultry Show" sign, and wandered in to see what it was about- which was very nice. (I was stopped several times by such folks as they were curious to know what it was about- I tend to be a chatty cathy, anyway, so very happy to oblige with what little I knew.

) But the informal manner of the show made it so there was really no directive to let people know when judging was happening, whom the judges were, or what was happening. So this could account for what you noticed. But I figured if it was a problem then someone would shoo people away. I thought it added a friendly and cheerful mood, the people all milling about freely.

Oh, I agree, but growing and educating folks is great, perhaps a white ribbon to show boundries. I dunno. Will have to ask the powers that be (Jerry and others). Of course I'm clueless about that. It really was fun and educational for folks, wish I had more time to watch judging, but I am not up to understanding it.
Have a good night and did you join the club? either way, its fine but hope to see you at the next meeting!

Bob and I loved the combination of JenEric, what a hoot! DH thought your boy was a comic, just his look and actions, good kid you two have!

I dunno, it was just a nice day and meeting some of the older folks was sweet.

I joined last year- but I'm overdue to renew. Washington is a bit far for me to travel for meetings, unfortunately.

It's a great club- the auctions are a lot of fun.

hey spook,
glad to see you got a picture of my new wyandotte! the 6th picture of the double sets on the left, theres a group shot of white wyandottes and buff birds.

LOL, I'm glad! I wanted to place the quilt, the correct side up there, but I reached my limit. Grrr. Anyhow, it was great to meet you hoppy, and so sorry I didn't have more time to chat with you. But its official, Scooter is NPIP tested. Needless to say, "mom" was not on his 'I'll do anything you want' mood! after being stabbed.
So he oogled the girls that were Joanie's and looked like his usual handsome self, yet refused to go on his back again!

Poor Scooter

Great pictures!! First time we have ever been to this show and didn't really know what to expect, loved it. Should have brought some extra shavings for the x-pens didn't even think about it, on the list for next time.. Course she thought about the x-pens at the last minute, need to paint them if she's going to use them again, they were left over from when we had puppies, but they work for birds too, just need a top for one

Hoppy, that is so great that you know Dr. Robert Hawes. He is wonderful and is great with teaching the Juniors, Sarah has learned lots from him. Did your boys get some birds there to show? The couple you got your new birds from are great too. Most of the show people are very easy to talk to, we have learned alot and still learning more everyday. So glad we were able to meet you

Hope to see you guys at some of the other shows too. Bring on the fairs
