Belated

I noticed these are your first posts since becoming a member. I hope you are able to save your hen. Mites can kill them. Some mites only feed on the birds at night and other during the day. I wear a headlamp so I have both of my hands free to inspect the birds and go out to my coops after dark when the birds have roosted and look them over good. I also take out some paper towels and rub on and under the roosts with the paper towel and look for streaks on the towels which is a sign of possibly mites. With permethrin there is no egg withdrawal period so the eggs are safe to eat and again good luck...
