Bathing Chicks

it is DEFFINITELY not my brooder, I just brought them home yesterday and put them in a clean non smelly brooder. I have the biggest tote they make roughly 20"x42" inches. and I've got sand in for the bottom. I used pine shavings for the last set of babies, but these ones stank too much and I wanted to be able to rake up the poo several times a day.

I have 3 auracaunas and 3 silkies.

I put them outside on the grass in an enclosed pen to "air them out". They were quite freaked out by the grass, its hard to believe but I think they'd never been out to have grass time. My older girls got put on the grass for playtime since they were a week old until they got moved out to the big house.

They finally figured out to start pecking at the grass and what not, but its weird that these girls walk and peck and don't "scratch" I guess they have to figure it all out a little later in life.
