Bathing young chickens

So I jave been reading that I am suppose to ne bathing my young chicks. And Ibhave a cpuple of questions.

The obvious one. Do you actually bath chicks?
How would you bath a chick?
Do I need to use a shampoo or disinfectant?
How often do I need to bath them?

They do not need baths. If their butts get dirty, just wipe it off with a wet cloth then dry them off we’ll.

No you don’t need to bathe them. Are you sure your not thinking of dust bathing?

Do not bathe your chickens with soap and water. Dust bathing is most likely what you are seeing which is pretty much the opposite of what one would think. Dust baths are when a chicken rolls around in dirt.

They roll around in dust or dry dirt

When they are older and go out to the coop, they don’t dust bathe as babies

It is crazy the things you are going to learn in the coming weeks. I am new too. Mine are 17 weeks and 7 weeks but it has been the most awesome experience ever and everyone here has been super helpful! Good luck on your chicken journey
