Bator full of eggs for hatching

I have to keep opening the bator just slightly because it gets to hot in there. If I adjust the temp it gets to cold during the night. It gets very warm in the house. During the summer on average 85 plus.

Same here but I just turn it down during the day and back up at night. Kind of a pain.

Just candled my eggs and out of 37/38 eggs at first candling only 7 are no good. I have five Marans good at of six. Six out of seven Blue Bar are still good. that leaves 19-20 eggs from my chickens that are still good. I'm so excited. I saw the chick in side the egg. the little eye OMG how exciting.

I did my first candling last night and I'm disappointed - on one batch of sultans I have 12 out of 14 developing, which is great, but on the other I only have 2 out of 12 My two eggs from my cemani pen are developing as well. I actually have one cemani chick working on hatch right now, too.

Are the hens young from the one batch? At least the one batch is doing good. How exciting you have one trying to hatch right now. I,m going to have to look up what chicken you have I don't know what they look like.

No clue - I got these shipped in. Although I think they're from hens, not pullets. I might contact the seller and ask.

Just received my chicks from McMurray. They where to arrive tomorrow and they got here today a whole day early. I received 6 True Blues,6 Blue Cochins, 6 white Cochins and a Americana as the free chick. They are arrived in good shape and where vocal . Not sure what the true blues are suppose to look like. I have only three that are white and with no feathers on the legs. Can anyone give me an idea as to what they are to look like as chicks.

Still have 30 eggs in bator. I will candle again today or tomorrow. Lock down on Tuesday.

Just candled eggs again and all look really good. Saw movement in several of them. A lot are dark 5 days to lock down and counting. Can't believe we are getting so close all ready.

Mine are doing well too. I had a power outage that caused me to lose a few but the rest are still looking good.

My temperature keeps spiking during the day when I'm at work. Gets to 105. Today it was 107 I think it is only for a few hours though and I open it up to cool down as soon as I get home. It should be fine until hatch now because I will be home for the next four days. I'm thinking I should lock down early because the temp has been high for the last couple of days. It is only two days to lock down as it is.
