Hi! I'm thinking about starting a battery hen rescue in Florida, but don't know if anyone would be interested. Do you think this is a good idea? I've only been able to find rescues in the U.K., and none in the U.S., so I thought a rescue might be needed-but I don't know if anyone would even want the hens. If you've any advice or think this is a good idea, let me know. Would you adopt a chicken from a battery hen rescue? Thanks!
(btw, this is my first time on backyardchickens, so pardon any confusion on my part!)

I know this is from a few years ago, but if you did start your rescue, I would LOVE to chat. I'm looking to adopt/rescue some ex-battery hens soon. I'm in Central Florida. It is seeming difficult to get anything other than chicks hatched to sell.

That appears to be the one and only post they ever made,
on the one and only time they ever visited the forum.
