Battery Hen Thread!

I got batteries, they lay all year round and are the sweetest souls, if you are in england and are looking for some we got ours from happy chicks, they deliver nation wide.:lol:
 
Does anyone have experience with battery hens spreading disease? Because I think I may have that issue.. Because 3 of the roosters I put the rescued hens with got sick, but none of the hens have gotten sick. 2 of the sick roosters recovered, but one had to be put to sleep today. Please PM me if you have had experience with something like that, thanks!

Yes, I have gotten bad mites. I don't think that is your problem but I think betters hens carry diseases that are hard to treat. I will look around for you though.

Okay. I will email a friend of mine and ask her about it. She owns a battery hen rescue in Australia. (NSW Hen Rescue)
