~Battle for Survival~ A African Wild dog Roleplay

Omari held onto his quarry, shaking the antelope's neck back and forth like a broken twig. The bite was fatally accurate and, as the animal lay motionless in the grass, Omari tore into his hard earned kill.
Gamba's bushy white-tipped tail slapped the ground once and he barked in approval. "Works for me," he opened his jaws in a smile.
Jake grinned back, "Now, where do you think we should settle our pack? Because I don't want to be moving around much, with Nia and everything."

Gamba rolled onto his paws, his true height revealed. He was much larger than most wild dogs, his size and strength resembling a gray wolf. The muscles under his painted fur moved commandingly as he trotted off. "Follow me," he beckoned to Jake with his tail.
Sierra swerved from side to side as she ran, trying to block Foluke from getting past her.
Foluke gave a violent snarl as he was forced to come to a sharp halt. "You're a cheater," his sharp tone was enough to make Kofi cringe.

Kala quickly joined in with the eating right beside Omari. Obi dove in beside them. He scarfed down mouthfuls of meat.

Omari quickly began to wolf down the antelope. Only minutes had past when he lifted his bloodied muzzle, "We should start heading back." He spun in nervous circles beside the kill which had been reduced to bones.

Kala yawned sleepily with a full belly and nodded,"Yeah we should." Obi licked his muzzle trying to clean the blood off and simply said,"Ok."

Jake followed, wagging his tail.
Gamba vanished into the cover of trees. To ordinary eyes he was almost invisible in the tall golden sea of grass and the endless supply of sand that settled in random parts of the territory. A single pair of hungry, searching eyes suddenly appeared. They were moving rapidly through the twilight, flittering furiously in the shadows as they came. As the darkness thickened, his pace through the trees grew even faster, and his pupils opened wider, seeming to draw the last rays of light.

Omari started to run. His ears were up and his senses so alert that his muscles quivered as he moved.

Gamba continued to move silently through the trees. But he had hardly gone anywhere at all when he heard the snap of a twig coming directly behind them. He swung around instantly, and the snarl that came from his jaws had a killing threat in it. But as another familiar muzzle appeared through the trees he relaxed a little, although his eyes were still blazing.
"Nia," he cried angrily. "Don't ever sneak up on me like that. I thought you were a hyena."
