Quote: Omari stayed away from his gorging mate, either not hungry of lost deep in his thoughts.
Quote: "Yeah" he agreed. He could not yet see them though.
Zalika paused, her hackles slowly fluffed up. "Guys, come out here right now," the hint of a growl escaped with her words.
Badru barked out a laugh as he slowly slid down a tree. "Took you guys long enough," a cruel grin spread across his muzzle.
Sine's tinkling laugher emerged from a nearby bush, then the petite dog stepped out in the open.
Marzipan was not amused. But as the youngsters continued laughed, Marzipan found it hard to hide a smile crawling over his face. He didn't say anything though, to keep him self from the snap of Zalika.
A dry laugh escaped Zalika's throat as she dropped onto her haunches. "You guys are going to get an earful when I tell your father what you guys did," cold amusement trickled through her voice.
( I am off to bed. Good night)![]()
Marzipan was confused on whether to make a joke of the situation or just let it be.....he chose the second option by leading the way back through the African bush towards home. "Home we go" he called.
Zalika hopped up and jogged after Marzipan. Sine's and Badru's grins quickly vanished as they both dropped low and followed after them.
Marzipan didn't talk to Zalika, nor the pups on the way home.
Azaw was lying under a tree near his den, chewing on an Antelope bone. He looked up and the four dogs entered. "What's up with you two?" he asked looking at Sine and Badru. He looked over to Marzipan for an answer. Marzipan just rolled his eyes and trotted off for a drink.
"They decided to play a cruel trick on us," Zalika skidded to a halt, her teeth exposed. Sine bellied over towards her and whimpered, but a quick snap of her jaws told the young dog that she had not been forgiven yet.

"Oh!" Azaw grunted as Zalika snapped! "So I guess they won't be getting this other lovely juicy bone then" he happily taunted the pups as he dragged over a large antelope bone and placed it down right in front of them.
Meanwhile Marzipan was happily lapping up cool water down by the river.

( Are Badru and Sine Zalika's pups??? )
Azaw gave the pups a stern look to enforce their mothers request as he got up from his haunches. He made his way down to the river to join Marzipan.

(No, they're Salim's. Their mother died when they were fairly young, so Zalika took control and watches them when Salim cant.)
"Come on, guys," Zalika's teeth gently grasped the ruff of Sine's neck. "It's time to go see your father," she shoved them both. Sine fought the urge to snarl at her as she was flung forward.

"Hey" Azaw said as he came up behind Marzipan. "Hey" Marzipan replied. "So what happened back there?" Azaw asked. "Mmm..don't worry, just the pups being pups" he said "But Zalika was pretty annoyed by it" he said softly. "I'm going to go back and see what she is up to" Marzipan said, wanting Azaw to accompany him. "Ok" Azaw replied following Marzipan back up to the dens.
( Just having a little chat to myself.LOL. )
Jake burst out of the water beside Nia,"What's wrong?" He said, nuzzleing her neck.Nia came to a sharp halt as she drew closer to the water. "I'm not going in there," she stretched back, shaking her ruff.

Zalika was resting contently on her haunches outside of Salim's den when Marzipan and Azaw arrived. Sine and Badru had reluctantly followed their father into the den, who at the time was wearing a blank expression.
