Battling hens!

Pics
I am finally going to pick up a small pen from Brahma Chicken 5000 this afternoon. Hopefully it will be assembled sometime between Thursday and Sunday. Haveing a job is such an annoying interference!!
Then Petra will live there for a bit to reintroduce her to the flock. When she is released if shes mean she will get peepers. Once she vacates the coop Fraggle will live there for a bit. Same routine. The meanies are doing well for now in the dog cage on the patio covered with tarps and patio furniture and anything else I can pile on. The rest of the flock are doing well. Henneth is happy and looks so much better. One of the BOs, I think its Nugget, is doing a bit of molting as is Roopecca. Getting ready now to head for Brahma's.

@Brahma Chicken5000 it was really nice to meet you in person today. It was even nicer to meet your chickens! So pretty! Even the molting one. I do love your set up. You're very organized. Thank you again for this coop. You have begun a P.I.F. movement now. :highfive:Can't wait to set it up.
My pleasure! It was great to meet you as well Cryss!
I can’t wait to see it all set up and being used.

How is Henneth doing @Cryss?
Henneth is great. She's not having any trouble with the other chickens. The Rocks are still in the dog cage but tomorrow should be moving day. I work Saturdays and Sundays so thats usually when I get a turn at using a car. We kinda play musical chairs with cars. Saturday I was able to go after work to find more screws. Can you believe home depot and Lowe's don't have those type? I got some I hope will be ok. Got home well after dark. Worked today. Dark again when I got home. Tomorrow morning the plan is build the coop and start playing musical Barred Rocks, putting Petra in the coop within the run for reintroduction for a few days. Then it's Fraggles turn. If all goes well I'll take a picture.

9am we started what we figured would be probably a 2 hour, maybe 3 hour long project putting the coup together. Gathered all the screws hoping the replacement ones I bought would work well. Nope. Did some digging in junk drawers ( you've got at least one of those, right?) Came up with some alternative hardware. The coop itself is easy enough to assemble. Deciding what hardware to replace with was the hard part. Finaly it was together...and didn't fit in the original spot I had picked. Re-measure, prepare new ground area. Lift into place. Bricks placed under frame to keep the wood off the ground. Oh, and a strong plastic empty bag from dog food used to cover the clean out door window because it has no closure only hardware cloth. Food, water, pine chips...we're ready. Petra was relocated to her new temporary home to be reintroduced to the flock. Fraggle is angry she isn't with her cohort as she is still in the dog cage. It was now 4pm. Long day. When we went to tuck everyone in for the night Petra was snuggled into the henhouse. I had worried she wouldn't want to go in at night but there was no problem.

Heres the set up. Might rearrange in the spring after the lean-to is finished.

Waiting now on delivery of some clear tarps as wind breaks.

For the curious, here's Fraggle alone in the dog cage on the patio covered in patio furniture, tools boards, and anything else I could pile on for protection.
