Hello fellow chicken lovers...boy oh boy- has this summer been quite the memorable one! We purchased 6 chickens from the Tractor Supply store as part of our homechooling summer camps. Four out of 12 weeks, I had 14 kiddos ranging from ages 6 to 9 running around my house doing crafts, playing with chickens, doing science projects, baking, dancing, biking, swimming and doing water play! It was great fun for my two girls and all that came!
We started our feathered girls in a XL dog crate...then, the husband built an awesome chicken coop as part of the project. Since, we live in suburbia with pretty strict HOA rules, we are living somewhat below the line on even having the girls in the backyard (oops), but we felt that as long as we didn't have a rooster that didn't yapped real loud, and we kept everything clean and tidy...we would keep them so we could witness the entire process! WE finally were lucky enough to see all of it! Check this video out here:
Lots of questions- but, I will find the proper areas to post them! Anyways- so thankful for this site...as I have been scanning posts since late April! ;-)

Wife, Mom to two girls, a chocolate lab, a calico cat and 3 HOT chicks! *wink*
