This chick doesn't look anything like the Silvers I have seen, but I'm keeping it, roo or pullet.

I wish that pic was clearer.

I did find a link to another forum where someone was developing a Birchen/Silver Blue Ameraucana and the roo has these same markings. hmmm

It would be nice to see this color later on in the shows.

For those of you who were still interested in Wheaten and Blue Wheaten Ameraucana chicks, I've found another outlet.

Paul Smith, another well know and excellent Ameraucana breeder, is offering chicks for the 2011 season. The minimum chick order is 10, the chicks are $8 each, with express shipping the order total comes to $95.

If anyone is interested, I can contact Paul about the details and we can get another order together...

I know I want 3 more, so that leaves 7 chicks still up for grabs!

Isn't Blue Wheaten what you have, Jeremy? Oh, I am so tempted to opt in on more. I really wanted some Wheaten chicks, too. My DH is going to banish me from the forum if I'm not careful. He is afraid that I will have a hard time parting with the roos that I end up with when buying straight run chicks.

Yup, I do have Blue Wheatens too, I want some from this order to supplement the stock I already have and possibly select a couple more nice breeders from these chicks. Well, if they mature to my liking.

Oh, I think I only want 2 chicks from this order, BTW, seeing how I picked 3 from the Blehm order. I figure other folks might want a chance at some more Wheaties.

ETA: If we can get 5 people to go in on the order, with each person getting 2 chicks, the total cost for each person will only be $19.00.
