Bay Area BYCers!

FREE FREE so I have 15 Indian River day olds that I want to give away FREE - I'm just overwhelmed with life right now and wondered if anyone would like them or some of them?

Indian Rivers are Delaware roo over New Hampshires - Will look like a delaware but maybe a tad larger (FYI delawares originate from a barred rock/new hampshire cross-so these are just breeding back to original sotkc)

To cherylcohen -- If you cannot find homes for them, I could possibly take 2 or 3. Not for another week or so, though. I'd need to build an isolation space in the henhouse first.

And to the general public -- If I cannot find homes for my 3 roos soon, I'll have to process them. Is there anyone here willing to teach me how that's done? I've read about it alot on this site, but I'd still prefer to actually see someone do it right. If I botched the execution of my own boys, I'd feel terrible.

My Delaware is the sweetest of my little bunch. What is the temperament of the New Hampshires? I'll have to look it up. I might be interested in 2 or 3. Are they sexed? Mine are almost 14 weeks old.

straight run I just hatched them. yes dellies are amazing and new hampshires are awesome - remember new hampshires are what is used to make delawares... I have some people coming today, 3 is the best number in case one turns out to be a roo, or maybe 4

Darn Cheryl, I wish these chicks had hatched a month from now... I won't be setting up my brooder until he end of February. I'm only doing one hatch for myself this year, plus the chicks I've ordered from John Blehm and Paul Smith.

There is NO WAY I want to have 4 different age groups growing out like this past year... I just about went crazy!

What? You mean that's not normal?

I do that every year. I've even built different brooders to handle it.

Probably shouldn't admit that out loud. Not that most of you aren't just as bad...
