Too early. But if you must give one away, give away one of those large combed "pullets".

So, how many weeks before I will truly be able to sex them, do you think? All the combs look about the same right now, actually. (in person!) And Jeremy doesn't get any until I am sure!!

Dawn, I want one of the Splash Marans you hatch, not a Black Copper.

The BC hens have always reminded me of Sex Link hens, I like the variety of Splashes much more!

It's still a bit early, how old are they? Take some pictures at 6 weeks and then we should be able to give you a more "educated" guess. Though, the chick in the first picture to the very left looks like it has a slightly bigger comb than everyone else... just sayin'.

Sorry, I didn't get a chance to write back yesterday (I was building nesting boxes...yay!). I'm working today, but I could pick them up when I get off. Actually, I could pick them up any evening this week. I get home around 5:30. PM me if you'd like a contact number.

I went out to check on them again this evening, and they've snuggled in with my favorite BPR (Robot) and my young SexLink (Rubber).
I think I'll call them "Flopsy, Mopsy, and Cotton-tail" for now.
If only I had an incubator... sigh...
