DIBS!

I would love to have that little one Cheryl, please PM me with pricing, etc.

Of course I couldn't only take the one, it would be so lonely, so I can take another Wheatie off your hands too.

so sorry I can't part with any of the wheaties I need them all for breeding program. I have the icelandics and in a few more days I'll have splash marans and welsummers, although a lot of them are already spoken for

Oh! I thought the ones you had listed were the chicks that you planned on selling, silly me!

Well, what else will you have available that hasn't been spoken for?

ETA: I just reread your post, a Wellie or a Splash Marans is okay with me too!

I'd love to make some Splash Olive Eggers!

So, I think I am going to buy the Brinsea Octagon 20 Advance EX incubator this evening, does anyone have this incubator? What are your thoughts?

My main reasoning is I want something more reliable than my Hovabator, which I have to check the temperature and humidity on every 15 minutes to ensure it remains constant...

I have the king suro and really love it, I have the icelandics hatching in it now. I wasn't using for the lockdown to hatch time before as I like to watch for pipping etc, but now that I've hatched so many chicks I just wait for them to hatch.

The space for them to hatch in is very small (height wise) so if you like to hover over the bators (hey I guess that's where they got the name...hova-bator)!! then you may be disappointed.

However the piece of mind with constant temps and humidity is amazing. I'd go bigger if I were you

How would you do that?

By breeding my Blue Wheaten Ameraucana rooster to the (potential) Splash Marans pullet. The resulting chicks would be 50% blue and 50% splash colored, most likely with red or gold leakage in the males.

I'm trying to collect a couple different dark egg laying pullets of different breeds/color varieties this year to breed with my Ameraucana in order to produce as many different OE colors as possible. A lot of them will be blue, or have the blue color incorporated into their plumage somehow.

Ha!! You are stealing my idea... or "great minds think alike"! Except I plan to keep one of my Splash marans roosters and breed the hens for splash and booted olive eggers! That's where the cochins come in...
