I have both delawares and sussex. The Sussex, especially breeder quality, are huge. Also, the sussex are very friendly. The delaware are hilarious, always trying to fly, taking huge jumps. Both are great, Light Sussex are prettier. My 2 cents.
Also, Jeremy... Try Amaranth. Quinoa is nice, but Amaranth is higher in protein and esier to grow in my opinion. Well I'm asking because I have a Colombian Wyandotte and I love her coloring . My mom was interested in some Dels because of their coloring but I also like the light Sussex I saw how huge some of them are . So that being said guess I'm keepingh eyes peeled for some.

And Cheryl I'm jealous about your wells I Love love mine even though she is a super loud mouth. She likes to trick is we will think she's laid an egg but she's just talking to barking squirrles.

Very Odd birds...I tell you but oh how I love her eggs and loud mouth...she is smart whoever said chickens aren't smart must not own chickens our garage connects to our kitchen and we had to start closing the door cuz the girls would come tap on the door begging for food....

My wellie is so amazing, she loves to be with us constantly, even has figured out how to come up to the deck and forage in the beds up here...yikes bad bird
